Service Description: 1998-99 Aerial Photos (USGS DOQQs), (1:12,000) - Shows the 1998-1999 Digital Orthophoto Quarter Quadrangle (DOQQ) imagery of Indiana, produced by the United States Geological Survey (USGS). These data are grayscale, with a 1-meter ground resolution. A Digital Orthophoto Quadrangle (DOQ) is a computer-generated image of an aerial photograph in which the image displacement caused by terrain relief and camera tilt has been removed. The DOQ combines the image characteristics of the original photograph with the georeferenced qualities of a map. Each DOQQ covers an area measuring 3.75-minutes longitude by 3.75-minutes latitude, approximately 5 miles on each side, or a quarter of the standard size of a USGS 7.5-minute quadrangle map.
