All values were checked for spelling and capitalization.
The following is excerpted from H. H. Gray (in preparation) regarding the glacial limit represented in this data layer, "The [Wisconsin] boundary is easier to comprehend and locate with some precision.North of that line, designated the Wisconsin glacial boundary, deposits of till, a complex of materials directly deposited by ice, are widespread. Typically nonstratified and nonsorted, not having been much worked over by the vast volumes of meltwater that emanated from the glaciers, tills of Wisconsin age yield soils that clearly indicate their relatively recent origin. These soils are so distinct from the soils formed on older materials that in many places the vanished margin of the ice can be determined within a very few meters laterally. This boundary is broken by stream valleys as wide as a few kilometers, but other than these it may be drawn confidently across the entire state. "
